Welcome to our very first installment of “Meet the Staff,” with our fearless leader, Ms. Laura! Ms. Laura has been working at the Hudson Library for 18 years. She started in Circulation, then became a Youth Services Assistant, then a Youth Services Librarian, and now has been Head of Youth Services for three years.
Ms. Laura has two grown sons and lives here in town with her husband, their two dogs, Sasha and Ruby, and betta fish Bluey. Her favorite things about Hudson are the beautiful parks and neighborhoods, and the library!
In addition to reading books (of course!), Ms. Laura enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and dancing. Her favorite storybook is “The Paper Bag Princess” by Robert Munsch, and her very favorite storybook character is Winnie the Pooh. When she is not reading children’s books, she enjoys reading historical fiction.
What is Ms. Laura’s favorite thing about the library? The people: both the staff and the patrons! She loves her job because she gets to be around books and kids all day.
Fun fact: Ms. Laura used to live in Mexico and brought home a dog from there that she named Stinky!
